Eddie W. O’Brien founded Waterford Construction Company in 1962, starting with a small office and a few tradesmen in Waterford Township, Michigan. From these humble beginnings, our company has grown into a trusted provider of diverse construction services across Detroit, Southeast Michigan, and beyond.
Over the years, our privately owned firm has expanded both its geographical reach and areas of expertise, adapting to evolving markets and trends. While multi-family housing and mixed-use projects make up the core of our portfolio, we have also successfully completed projects in various sectors, including education, municipal, community development, religious, and historic renovations.
With over 60 years in business, our name and location may have changed, but the legacy of teamwork and commitment to building strong relationships—values instilled by Eddie O’Brien—remains the cornerstone of our company today.
